Psychodynamic Therapy for Self-Destructive
Relationship Patterns

Psychodynamic therapy is uniquely suited to self sabotage because it works within the relational dynamics that unfold between therapist and patient. The sabotaging patterns that destroy outside relationships will eventually appear in the therapy room. When they do, the therapist and patient can examine them together in the moment they occur, which is far more productive than analyzing them after the fact. The pattern becomes visible, its origins become traceable, and its automatic quality begins to weaken as the patient develops conscious awareness of the sequence before it reaches the point of action.

Dr. David Steinbok provides psychodynamic psychotherapy from his Boca Raton, Florida office. His practice is private-pay with monthly documentation for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. The office has no receptionist and is designed for complete privacy. To schedule, call (561) 362-9952.
